Isaiah 59:17-19
(Coverdale Bible)
He put rightuousnes vpo him for a brest plate, & set the helmet of health
vpo his heade. He put on wrath in steade of clothige,
& toke gelousy aboute him for a cloke:
18 (like as when a man goeth forth wrothfully to recopence his enemies,
& to be avenged of his aduersaries.) Namely, that he might recompence and rewarde the Ilodes,
19 wherthorow the name of the LORDE might be feared, from the risynge of the Sone: and his magesty, vnto the goinge downe of the same. For he shal come as a violent waterstreame, which the wynde of the LORDE hath moued.

translation: He pit righteousness upon him for a breastplate, and set a helmet of health upon his head. He put on wrath instead of clothing, and took jealousy about him for a cloak.
18 (like as when a man goes forth worthy to recompense his enemies, and to be avenged of his adversaries) Namely, that he might recompence and reward the islands (  fully repair the islands)
19 So that the name of the Lord might be feared, from the rising of the Son, and his majesty, unto the going down of the same. For he shall come as a violent waterstream (flood), which the wind of the Lord has moved.

Seeing the absence of justice and righteousness, God is displeased and decides to intervene himself. He puts on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head, coming as a Redeemer to those who repent.

Isaiah 59 is a powerful chapter in the Bible that brings attention to the serious impact of sin and the subsequent separation it causes between humanity and God. Isaiah, addressing the people of Israel, emphasizes God’s dissatisfaction with the prevalent injustice, and outlines the divine promise of a Redeemer who will intervene and establish a lasting covenant of salvation and peace.
