I closed my pool on Friday, August 29. The water was too cold and it was starting to get too hard to keep clean. When I got in my pool on Thursday to clean it the water temp was only 70 degrees…As a general rule, keep the pool temperature between 77 and 84 degrees (pool research.com)…and knew it was time to close it up.

This is the earliest I’ve ever closed my pool. Ever!

Way back when, before covid, I could keep it open until late September or early October. But after COVID I started having to close it no later than mid-September.

It was a sad day for me.
