Tables Turn

In the grass, a snake did creep.

Silent, cold, with eyes so deep.
With every hiss and every glide, It thought no one could match its stride.

But one dark night, beneath the moon,
The snake’s reign ended far too soon.

Its scales began to twist and crack,
Until it turned into a squealing rat.

The hunter now was prey at last,
Running from the shadows cast.

No longer feared, no longer sly,
Just a rat beneath the midnight sky.

So when you think you’ve won the game,
Remember things don’t stay the same.

For power shifts, and lessons learn,
Even snakes will watch the tables turn.
