This update is to bring attention to a critical issue, as the impending cancellation of EBT (snap/supplemental nutrition assistance program) benefits for 40 million US individuals next week to cause disruption.

To prepare, I recommend that everyone, especially seniors, to take advantage of this weekend to stock up on necessities for an extended period if possible, to avoid having to go out in public during the anticipated chaos.

I’ve seen videos as proof that it’s possible they will just rob stores but I think they will actually attack people that can afford groceries. Wait for them to come out to load the car and then take your food.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they aren’t already rehearsing for the situation.

So, on November 1, money for the food stamp/EBT/SNAP program is expected to run out. This is an electrical/debit money source provided by the government to help low-income families with food.

There is so much fraud that it isn’t even funny! I don’t know how they get away with it, except that the government allows it. The more children you have the more you receive. Some keep popping out babies so they get more/continue to receive the benefits. We’re talking tens of thousands of dollars! a month. While the rest of us put money in through taxes, and can barely afford our own groceries. I make my pennies scream! And they’re out there driving brand new, expensive cars and using top of the line cell phones.

Anyway, there are videos out there stating that these people will try and rob people as they’re leaving the store. I even saw one post where a mom and her child were saying they would be coming to “your house” for Thanksgiving and expected lobster and steak. Whether or not anything happens remains to be seen, obviously, but I’m putting this out there to bring awareness.

Food banks are available! But I’m hearing they’re running out of food and funding as well. I advise taking advantage of this coming week and stocking up on what you can. Obviously, you can only do so much but do what you can – and donate to a local food bank if possible.
