It’s interesting that illegal aliens aren’t included in this number above, or even non US citizens (immigrants)… I tried to look it up…there aren’t any recent numbers, at least that I can find on my cell phone. Of course, many news outlets are left leaning and like to call them “undocumented immigrants”, so it’s hard to tell what the numbers are. I can guarantee there are quite a few in each state that receive government benefits, including food stamps.
From what I’ve seen on Facebook and wimkin, only 30% food stamp recipients are US citizens. Something is terribly wrong here…any legal immigrant should be able to support themselves. Yes, hard times happen…which leads me to this…
Government assistance should be a hand up, not a hand out.
40 million Americans are about to lose their food stamps. This should be the best example for why socialism and communism are dangerous . A government who can feed you, can also starve you.

I am glad the MD governor released the money, but it’s only a bandaid. All we’re doing is kicking the can down the road if the government doesn’t open up. Even when the government does open back up, something needs to be done about all the fraud.
