The Third Book of HERMAS,
which is called his SIMILITUDES

As the green trees in the winter cannot be distinguished from the dry; so neither can the righteous from the wicked in this present world.
AGAIN he showed me many trees whose leaves were shed, and which seemed to me to be withered, for they were all alike. And he said unto me, Seest thou these trees? I said, Sir, I see that they look like dry trees.
2 He answering, said unto me; These trees are like unto the men who live in the present world. I replied: Sir, why are they like unto dried trees? Because, said he, neither the righteous, nor unrighteous, are known from one another; but all are alike in this present world.
3 For this world is as the winter to the righteous men, because they are not known, but dwell among sinners.
4 As in the winter all the trees having lost their leaves, are like dry trees; nor can it be discerned which are dry and which are green: so in this present world neither the righteous nor wicked are discerned from each other; but they are all alike.
hope you have a great day!

Government Shutdown Clock – The White House
…Day 42 – and counting ~ this will be a new part of my posts until the gov opens back up…
Who Cares About the Shutdown?: American Thinker …“CNN had a list of horrible things that were happening on Day 35 of the “shutdown,” but now it looks like we’re on the path to “reopening” the government. Breathe a big sigh of relief, right? Republicans rightly stood their ground, and Democrats caved. I didn’t expect that, but kudos to the Republicans for finally showing some backbone. With reference to some points brought up by the CNN article (they thought of a lot more than I could, frankly), what pain did we actually feel?” …some government workers weren’t paid, some national parks were closed, SNAP benefits were delayed or cut back (food stamps should honestly be a states issue thing), Flu, Covid-19 and RSV data aren’t being updated, Obamacare premiums will go “way up”, mortgage delays, No new SBA loans for small businesses …and more …“Since “government shutdowns” seem to happen all the time these days, perhaps the real question to ask is what steps do we need to take so we don’t care anymore?” …I honestly don’t really care – it honestly just shows two things: the federal government is way too big and most of don’t really need the federal government
