What do narcissists hate the most?

Narcissists hate a lot of things, its hard to say what they hate the most, or if all narcissists feel the same way. Here are some common ones;

1. They hate being embarrassed in public. because, they are very sensitive, they take offense easily — even over small things. For example. i once saw a narcissist get really upset during a vacation. Someone made a harmless joke on Facebook about a photo where he looked like he had gained a little weight! A regular person might laugh it off or decide to get in shape. But this man got angry and insulted the person who commented, and stayed in a bad mood the rest of the trip, and refusing to be in any more photos. That kind of overreaction is very common for narcissists, I’ve even seen narcissists get upset just because someone gave them a strange look and they couldn’t stop talking about it for hours. Once my ex (who was a narcissist) got worked up over a casual comment my boss made—He wouldn’t stop asking what it meant, why did my boss hate him;

2. They also hate people they can’t control. If they can’t control someone. they will usually try to stay away from them. But that’s not enough—they also try to ruin that persons reputation. Even if you leave a narcissist, they might still badmouth you to others!! You won’t walk away quietly—they’ll try to make you pay in some way!

3. They hate being criticized by their partner. If you point out something they did wrong they might blow up in anger or go silent and sulk. Either way, their message is clear “Don’t challenge me,” they want to be in charge and any criticism will be punished.

4. They hate when others get attention. If someone else is in the spotlight, narcissists will try to bring the focus back to themselves. Sometimes, the way they do this is so obvious it’s even funny! But—they always want to be the most important person in the room

5. They also avoid people who make them feel small. If someone is richer, better-looking, more successful or simply has something new and exciting (like a new car or a pet or a big achievement), the narcissist might ignore it or walk away. They don’t want to be reminded that someone else is doing well, or better than them.

In general narcissists are not nice people. They are jealous of other people’s success and often make mean or sneaky comments. Being around them feels draining, because they bring so much negativity. That’s why spending time with a narcissist often leaves you feeling tired, unhappy, and unsatisfied.
