I wasn’t going to say anything, but I’ve got no heat at the moment. The chimney’s got a clog and no one can come out until January 9. I have a space heater plugged in and the company that I contacted is letting me borrow a kerosene space heater to get me by until then. The kerosene heater will be delivered tomorrow morning. I knew it was going to be hard getting someone out here with it being Christmas and all, it just sucks. We’ll get through this, as we always do. It could be worse, so I am trying to look on the bright side.

The clog just developed on Tuesday. I know I should have had someone come out and clean it back in the fall, but my ex said he was going to be up my way so I thought he’d take care of it then. He never contacted me.

I did clean the stove pipe going from the wood stove through the wall and took the cap off the bottom and cleaned the outside chimney as far as I can reach. The clog is probably near the top.

I can’t get up on the roof. I’ve tried several times, I just can’t take the step from the ladder to the roof.

So now I’m dealing with it.
