My neighbor did plow my lane open yesterday afternoon…

There is actually a lot more snow than what I thought. The photo of my car was made yesterday…

I’m going to have to figure out a way to get firewood to the house. I have an idea, but I’m just not sure at the moment. I’m not sure I want to shovel a path through the snow mound. I might have to though, eventually.

There isn’t much snow on the other side of the mound, which is a good thing!

Once I get my car cleaned off I’ll be able to get out, but I have no plans to go anywhere until later in the week.

I did shovel a path from the porch to the lane today, and shoveled out the front of the car. Tomorrow I will clean off the car and hopefully move it. Surprisingly, the car started right up when I put the key in the ignition. I let it run for a few minutes.

By this time I was done with being outside. The temps are only in the low 20sF (-8C), so I am doing things a little at a time. My son would be out helping me, but he’s staying up through the night, keeping a fire in the wood stove and helping me bring firewood up to the house when needed. Before the storm started I brought up a “ton” of firewood, so I wouldn’t have to during the storm, or immediately afterwards.

At this point, I think I have enough firewood at the house to last me through Wednesday.

More to come tomorrow.

hope you have a great day!
thanks for stopping by!!
