I did get my car shoveled out yesterday, but I didn’t get it cleaned off. I cleared a path from my porch to the lane and dug a cut out through one of the snow mounds to the woodshed. By the time I got to my car I didn’t feel like doing much more. Hopefully after the temps rise a little I can get back out there and get it cleaned off. I did, however, start the car up and let it run for a few minutes.

Looking down the lane (below)… I know it doesn’t really look like it, but it has been plowed.
It’s almost pure ice right now, so I know I’m not going anywhere anytime soon unless I absolutely have to.

I typically don’t mind winter, it’s a nice break from gardening and hot temps, but I’m done with this bitter cold. At this point I’m hoping we have enough firewood to get us through, even though I split and stacked more than last year. We had firewood leftover last winter so we should be good, but I still worry – watching the wood pile dwindle and it’s so bitter cold.

Somehow, someway, we will make it through.
