“Walt Disney Read-Along Book and Records were first released in 1965. Each book ran 24 pages and included a 7 inch record of a narrator who read the story. The books were typically adaptations of popular Disney movies, cartoons, and sometimes titles based on non-Disney properties. The records included dialogue, sounds and songs from the movies or cartoons. But, the most memorable sound was Tinkerbell’s chimes, the signal for the reader to turn the page.
