I got my new-to-me truck on Tuesday! I really wanted the Silverado they had advertised, but I was told it still needed some work. This is just as nice. It needs steps and a grab bar inside the driver sides door – but I can get that done later. Little ole short me does have a little bit of an issue getting in, but I can handle it. For now, anyway.

Taking this past week off has been a blessing. When I originally decided to take the week off, I didn’t think I’d be taking the time to do some truck shopping. I knew I needed a truck eventually – my little Aveo didn’t go anywhere if we got more than 4 inches of snow. She has served me well.

When she didn’t pass the inspection last week, I figured it was better to just go ahead and buy a new/used truck. The Aveo has a rust spot in/on the subframe – I was told it would cost me thousands to fix it – if it could be fixed. There was a possibility that it could be wielded, but with that kind of money I might as well get a used truck.

Now, I can haul firewood, pull trees if needed and bring home furniture if I find something I want/need. I’m sure this truck will do well.
