The big news is that Pam Bondi is out as head of the Justice Department, and that Trump’s personal attorney, Todd Blanche, will be filling in until a new Attorney General is confirmed. Many are glad to see her go—and I certainly don’t think she did a great job, especially her giant Epstein error—but I think we also underestimate the big problem bedeviling any Republican Attorney General in today’s America. Since Bondi took over, there have been two complaints: First, she’s failed to bring any indictments against the Democrats who have played fast and loose with the law since Trump’s first day in office. Second, she’s failed to bring any indictments in connection with the Epstein matter or even to name names.” …I think Pam Bondi is compromised, but that’s my opinion and I’m glad she’s finally out.
