…I went to private school through 8th grade. There are things I learned that my contemporaries didn’t, besides memorizing the Bible. I learned about Jesuits, the Gauls, the different popes (black, white), even Tartaria and many other “things” that public school didn’t teach.
I don’t know who published our textbooks, but it wasn’t Maxwell, if the school was able to teach these things.
Through the years I did forget, but when I started digging into things after/during COVID I remember thinking “I know this already”, I just had to remember. People say that those old textbooks and encyclopedias are outdated, but I think they hold a lot more truth than what is used today.
