And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone

President Trump Turned Off Their Money Spigot, and Now They’re Suing Him Over Blue Paint: red state …“It’s a day ending in “y,” which means yet another Democrat-adjacent organization is suing President Trump, this time around for daring to improve the appearance of the Reflecting Pool, which glitters to the east side of the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Except, the pool hasn’t been all that glittery of late, leading the president to initiate a massive cleanup project, including the application of a fresh coat of blue paint to enhance its appearance. He also cleaned up a $300 million plan by the Biden administration to replace all of the granite at the bottom of the pool; the paint job, by contrast, costs $1.5 million, according to the president. The group suing the administration, The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF), wants to put a halt to the Reflecting Pool painting project, claiming “the current application of blue paint to the basin of Reflecting Pool on the National Mall is being done in violation of federal law.” The 26-page complaint continues, “Every day that the resurfacing continues, the historic character of the Reflecting Pool is being further and fundamentally altered.” “Changing the Reflecting Pool’s color, a key character-defining feature of the site, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places,” argues TCLF, “should be subject to reviews pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and other laws.””
