…I recently had to have the plumber back here (again!), this time to replace the water heater. At first he thought my issue was from lack of rain/not enough water in the well. He did replace the water heater, because that did seem to be the main culprit, but also suggested I limit my water use.
Since then, I have noticed that the water pressure seems off sometimes…so we are greatly reducing how much water we use. Showers/tub only once a week for each of us, flushing the toilet only a couple times a day, keeping pots of fresh water in the sink/on the stove to wash/rinse dishes and take sponge baths with. Taking laundry to the laundry mat once a week. I really need to get the pool refilled so when the weather gets warmer, we can use it to rinse off – but I’m even being cautious with running the water for the pool.
I so wish we had a stream nearby, I’d take my clothes and wash them in the creek. But even that might not be enough if this persists…

Fortunately, I’ve stored a “ton” of water, and in the process of filtering/storing more. I’ve got crock pots and a crab steamer on the porch full of leftover water from when I was having to humidify the house during the winter, I can at least use that water to water plants. I’ve also got buckets in the yard, so when it does rain I can collect it.
