Is a narcissist afraid of you once you leave?

Well, I am going to tell you based on my experience with these narcs ( My mother and ex husband) The narc is not just afraid of you when you leave them… they are more than that! They fear you, they hate you, they try to get revenge on you, ruin your life… and so much more.

Why the narc does this? It’s fear my darling. Yes, that’s true. Because the narcissist feels very uncomfortable and panicked when someone they see as their supply decides to walk away from their toxic cycle and have a moment of knowing their worth.

In the narc mind, they control everything… what happens and when it should happen. And one of these things that the narc has to control is when they decide to discard you. If you were the one who discards them first before they are done with you, then it causes the narc to panic and become very confused than ever.

The narc thought all the time they spent with you that they had everything planned out, but after that, booom, you are gone!!

Now, I need you to think of it like this: when someone is taking a medication for a long period of time, they for sure become dependent on that medication, right? Now if that person suddenly stops taking that medication without being prepared for it, what’s gonna happen? Of course they are going to go through withdrawals like anger, confusion, cravings and so much more.

Well, the narc behaves exactly like this… the difference here is that they don’t show you that they miss you or want you back… instead, they punish you! The narc is gonna punish the person who made them question themselves.

So yes, my dear friend the narc is afraid of you. But they will never ever let you know that they fear you. So I think you should stay strong and do whatever it takes to get over this like I did. I know it’s difficult to do so at the beginning, but trust me, after that things will be different.
