I’m not going to lie,
getting sucked inside the Jumanji game for 30 years
doesn’t sound too bad at this point.

It all started when I woke up late on Thursday (July 9)…

I didn’t wake up until 8 in the morning! Which is late for me. But I couldn’t rewind time so I could get up earlier – I dealt with it.

My son and I got in the truck to do our weekly shopping, and the rearview mirror fell off the windshield. I’ll be getting the adhesive/glue to fix it this week and have it ‘good as new’ by the weekend.

We got caught in a thunderstorm. It was pouring down rain when we left the grocery store – I took my flip flops off and walked across the parking lot in ankle deep rushing water. What choice did I have? I’ll have to admit, though, that the rain felt good – but it would have been nice to have a towel so I could dry off, at least a little bit.

Then when we got home a gallon of milk fell out of the truck and busted. I did manage to save most of it in Mason Jars.

After all of that, it would have been nice to sit down and watch some tv. But no. Wi-Fi was out! I tried calling the service provider, but I kept getting disconnected. “Sorry, we’re having technical difficulties.” Click.

I gave up!

I was able to get through on Friday. The representative I talked to signed me up for a program which I did not want. I got a new phone – that’s still sitting in the box. I told her I didn’t want a new phone, new phone number – I just wanted a technician out here to fix the connection.

On Friday, my sciatica started acting up. It’s painful, especially in the morning. The more I move around the better it feels. Plus, a heating pad at night helps tremendously in the morning.

The cell phone arrived on Sunday. I tried calling so I could get a return shipping label but again, the computer couldn’t understand what I wanted so the phone call was disconnected. And it still sits in the box. It will stay there too.

I also need to call GMC to have a recall taken care of. It has to do with a malfunctioning airbag, I think. At this point, it will have to wait until my hip/back feels better.

I know this is all minor stuff, but after the year I’ve had, it’s just frustrating. One thing after another! I’m not going to say too much more, I don’t want to jinx myself.

On the plus side, part of a maple tree fell over the weekend. We’ve started cutting on it. Most of it will go in the woodshed, some of it will go in the split pile. But not much.

I’m so tired. So very tired.
But I won’t give up!
