… only minimal damage done to the pool and it can be fixed, but gosh darn it I just can’t seem to get ahead 😭I did manage to get it out of the pool, and will be buying the replacement parts over the weekend. Luckily, it didn’t tear or rip the liner – I don’t have ac, so this and the basement is my saving grace during the hot summer days.

US House Passes Bill to Abolish Clock Changes: timeanddate.com …“On July 14, 2026, the United States House of Representatives passed the Sunshine Protection Act, a measure to make Daylight Saving Time (DST) permanent in the country. The bill received broad bipartisan support, with 308 voting in favor and 117 against. It is now heading to the Senate, the upper chamber of the United States Congress, where it is expected to face an uphill battle. Several senators have already voiced their opposition to the measure. According to Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, it would “push winter sunrises to an absurdly late hour” and “kids would either walk to school in the pitch black or schools would have to push back start times,” as The Hill reports. If the Senate approves the bill, it would still need to be signed into law by the US President. However, this is expected to be a mere formality as Donald Trump has repeatedly called for abolishing DST clock changes in the US.”
