That at the Name of Jesus should ^[a]every knee bow, both of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.
¹¹ And that ^[b]every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord, unto the glory of God the Father.

Believers are told, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (2:5). Though truly God, Jesus “emptied Himself” (2:7) and submitted to “death— even death on a cross” (2:8). Historical Setting
