DOES ANYBODY ELSE FEEL LIKE WE NEVER REALLY CAME BACK FROM 2020? Something changed and I’m not just talking about COVID.
Time feels faster, people feel more disconnected,
and life doesn’t seem to have the same color it once had.
Think about the 80s, 90s and early 2000s…
summers felt longer, music had eras, holidays had a feeling,
and people seemed more present.
Now everything moves so fast that years disappear like months.
2019 was 7 years ago… but does it really FEEL like it?
Call it a timeline shift, collective awakening,
or the psychological aftermath of everything we experienced
but something about life has never felt the same since. Who else feels it?
I wanted to add this photo of the work that was done on my deck yesterday (September 3), especially since I won’t be here next week. There’s obviously still some work to do, but we’re getting there.

My clothes line got taken out last night 😭
We had one heck of a storm last night…it was electric! 😅 But seriously, I’m surprised we didn’t lose power, but someone close got hit! The whole house shook with one thunder/lightning strike. The last time we got a storm like this it took out our heat pump. That was back in 2003(?)
Guess I’ll be getting out the chainsaw.
Yes, I had sheets and pillow cases on the line. I dyed them (with coffee, but it’s light brown) and was letting rain rinse them out. Hopefully they’re still okay. It looks like it just snapped the line… and I will get a little bit of firewood out of it. It’s not seasoned, but by spring it should be ready to burn. It is maple…
