The Haunt Word of the Day is:
PANIC SHUFFLE
(panic shuffle)
verb
The awkward speed-walk guests perform while pretending they are not scared.

Meanwhile, in other news:
The average family has an average of 19 internet connected devices in their home.
AL can utilize these digital devices to track and monitor your behavior in real time and feed it to a live database in a data center. So unless you’re Amich, this impacts you.
Oh yeah, this includes your vehicle.
Live Database (or real-time database): a data storage system that immediately processes, synchronizes, and pushes updates to connected clients or applications within milliseconds rather than relying on periodic batch queries or standard request-response cycles.

…I have 5 internet connected devices. My truck does have OnStar and SiriusXM, but I’m not subscribed. When I bought my new rearview mirror I got one with no buttons, no connection, no camera. I know that the connection is still there, even though I’m not connected, but there’s not much I can do unless I start taking things apart and maybe take fuses out.

Operation Fortress America
90 days off-grid
~ monkey werx ~
…a 57 minute video
“today we’re going to be talking about this operation Fortress America. What does it mean? It is basically the Pentagon giving an edict to all of the bases domestically across the United States to say, “Look, you need to be prepared to stay off-rid for 90 days.”
(monkey werx)
…preparing and storing food and water for 90 days! I’m hearing people say 3 days to a week – I’d get/store as much as possible without panicking, being more concerned about water and heat than anything else, especially during the winter. Is anything going to happen? Who knows, but it’s better to be prepared than not. Even if you only have a couple days worth.
…water, heat, first aid/medications/hygiene, food, lighting/batteries, fuel is what I would be stockpiling

The More We Resist, The More They Spend: The Brockovich Report …“The tech industry has invested at every level to influence local decisions, and communities are outmatched. I can see as the resistance to data centers in communities gets stronger, the spending goes up. The industry has far more resources and far more access than the people who live next door. Ohio voters in 18 communities will decide this November whether to limit or ban data centers. But tech companies and trade groups have put more than $400,000 into defeating these local measures, according to campaign finance reports. Outside of Toledo, opponents of one ban raised $335,000 in a city with less than 20,000 people. Supporters (meaning the people who don’t want a data center in their backyard) raised $4,600. I hope the voters show up and show them how they really feel about these hyperscale facilities.”
